OUR STORY

How I Started

 

My name is Lisa Buckner I am a mother of three wonderful kids and I have a wonderful husband.

 

I first started making sweet potato pies for family gatherings such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and some church gatherings.

 

My family influenced me to begin selling pies. I started small like all great businesses and started selling them to co-workers. 

 

One day I came across a poster for "SAY IT AINT SAY'S Sweet Potato Pie Baking Contest. I entered the SAY IT AINT SAY'S Sweet Potato Pie Ccontest and the rest is history. 

 

I grew up learning to cook from my "Big Mama" she taught me everyhting I know.  I use alot of her recipes for my business. 

 

My goal is to open several restaurants and expand from pies to home style cooking. 

 

Everybody in my family can cook.  My husband is a license chef.
